Come the end of july Blaugrau is gonna SHUT-UP SHOP!  For our last hurrah we are are staging a SUPER-SALON show titled 'THE SECRET OF GREY WALLS' featuring works by (practically almost) EVERY exhibiting artist from the Blaugrau program.  The show will celebrate a successful thirteen month gallery project and tribute all who have supported us, both visitors and exhibitors.  

In addition the show will function as a CATALOGUE FUNDRAISER!  Blaugrau aims to raise enough funds to produce a quality designed project catalogue that documents each and every of our exhibitions, alongside framing critical texts (potential patrons & benefactors need never be shy offering us funds to supplement this ambitious task!).  Each exhibiting artist will have made a flat contribution to the catalogue production costs.  In exchange each nominates a sale price for their work in the exhibition ($50/$100/$200) & one hundred percent of money for work sold goes directly to the selling artist.

So who's gonna miss such an opportunity to support both a Blaugrau initiative and the artists who've made it great, scoring some hot-stuff art, all in one fell swoop!?!  We'll say it twice... works for sale at $50, $100 & $200!!

So swing along to the grand opening to end all openings & gallery closing combo party this FRIDAY the 20th of july, from 6PM ONWARDS.  Like all legendary parties we promise pyrotechnics, multimedia visuals, wicked beats and free beer!

Blaugrau is likewise happy to announce that our stake on Meagher St will live on under the new guise of 'BLOCK', directed by local stuntmen Joerg Hubmann & Jason Markou.  Stay tuned for the most scandalous colour change to go down in this year's interior decor history.  

Lastly we offer everlasting thankyous to all the artists and punters who have made Blaugrau rock!  All who've read our pesky emails and never clicked 'Block Sender'.  All who've come to love Tasman Bitter like we do.  All uninvited surprise art terrorists & attache carrying gallerists.  All who've pressed their smudgy noses and foreheads against our windows checkin' out the art.  Even that local black cat.  We would have been nothing without you.

So does 'The Secret of Grey Walls' really mean an absolute end to Blaugrau?  Well, not entirely.  So long as opportunities exist for presenting art before a grey ground, the project will keep re-inventing itself.
