close relation to Graz.
The idea came on the
occasion of the Exhibition of the Province of Styria "comm.gr2000az."
With this exhibition, we
participate in the discourse on "artmediacommunication"
of various galleries and
art institutions in Graz. >> W.W.Anger (born 1957, lives in Graz) In his work "Import - Export - Leisure," Anger plays with
landscape pictures, car brands
and the respective desires.
>> Rosa Brueckl / Gregor Schmoll (born 1970 in Graz/in Bruck an der Mur, live in Vienna)
trace old masters in their work "Venus/Odalisque" by taking into
consideration the relations to contemporary aesthetics. >> Astrid Herrmann (born 1965 in Bruck/Mur, lives in Hamburg) edits the "Snap Shot Collection," which, in its immediacy, stands in competition to existing illustrated catalogues. >> ILA (born 1968 in Leoben, lives in Graz) shows parts of his series "Conquest of the Moon - True Story" and
takes up a U.S.-American myth.
>> Martin Osterider (born 1964 in Graz, lives in Vienna) created a multi-coded picture story, starting with
improvised messages in public space.
>> Edda
Strobl
(born 1962 in Graz, lives in Graz) structures her notes with the work of students and their
dealing with newspapers.
>> Oliver
Ressler
(born 1970 in Knittelfeld, lives in Vienna) is responsible for the invitation card, which offers a first view of the current project "lasting propaganda." + + + + + + + + + We are already looking forward to your visit at the < rotor > + + + and remain with kind regards, + + + Margarethe Makovec + Anton Lederer + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + < rotor > + + + association for contemporary art + + + Belgiergasse 8/1, A-8020 Graz, Austria + + + Tel + Fax 0043 / 316 / 688 306 + + + rotor@sime.com + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + We thank our sponsors: Kultuarmt der Stadt Graz, Kulturabteilung des
