After the inclusion of JÖRG HAIDER's FPÖ in the Austrian
government, a website has been opened. That site, called "5,000
Signatures
against HAIDER" give Internet users to sign an on-line petition against
the
far right in Austria.
Visitors can also read read in-depth articles on this social issue
and an agenda of anti-Haider demonstrations and actions is available.
The Austrian problem is not isolated. The whole of Europe sees the rise
of
extremist parties. We must react quickly and unite democratically to
fight
this "brown plague".
A boycott is not a viable option. Not all Austrians voted for
Haider and his party. It would be unfair for those who are against the
far
right in their country to suffer the consequences of its rise.
Through this petition, we want to express our disagreement with
the rise of  the far right and support those who oppose it, in Austria
or
anywhere else.
